Police probe into sheltered housing complex death continues

POLICE have confirmed they are continuing their enquiry into the death of a woman at a sheltered housing complex in Thurrock.

The woman's body was discovered on the morning of Wednesday, 5 June at Freeman Court, Corringham.

Two days later police said: "A 55-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing or allowing the death of a vulnerable person.

"He has been released on bail until 29 July."

That bail has now been extended, with police saying: "The investigation remains ongoing and the arrested man has been bailed until 2 September 2024."
