THURROCK Foodbank has thanked the Purfleet community for its latest donations to the charity.

On behalf of Purfleet Community Fete Lynne Mansfield handed over £400, raised from the tombola she runs for local good causes.

Receiving the gift was Thurrock Foodbank Operations Manager Peter Newall.

The charity also expressed thanks to Mark and Lyndon who attended the Purfleet distribution centre with a donation.
