Purfleet remembered its fallen heroes

THE traditional Remembrance parade and service took place in Purfleet on Sunday, 3 November.

The parade, led by a lone piper, left Purfleet Heritage and Military Centre and made is way to St Stephen's Church where a service of Remembrance took place. The Last Post sounded and two minutes of silence honoured those from Purfleet who fell in the two World Wars. Their names, and those of covilian casualities, were read out.

The service:

Wreaths were laid by civic dignitaries and residents, including MP Jen Craft and borough mayor Cllr Kairen Raper.
