Residents alerted to fire exercise in empty tower block

RESIDENTS in Blackshots have been alerted to an Essex Fire and Rescue Service exercise on Monday evening (22 September).
Firefireghters will holding a training exercise at the now empty Bevan Housetower block on Monday , from 6.30pm.
A statement from thr service says: Don't be alarmed if you see lots of fire engines in the area.
"Nearby residents are welcome to come along and speak to the crews about any fire safety concerns.
"The exercise will run until 9.30pm."
Bevan House is one of three blocks in the area have have now been cleared of residents in advance of their demolition. Thet will be replaced by a new social housing development.
