THURROCK Re-engage volunteers joined Santa last night (Friday, 16 December) on the Rotary Club of Mar Dyke Valley's Santa sleigh run at Kenningtons in Aveley.

Local Re-engage co-ordinator Loraine Coleman said: "A very big thank you to the lovely residents of Kenningtons for their very generous donations to charity.

"And to our wonderful volunteers for braving the freezing cold.

"Also I must say thanks to the lovely lady who offered our volunteers hot drinks and warm clothes.

"Finally a very big round of apprciation to the Rotary Club for inviting Re-engage Thurrock to join them on this very special Christmassy evening. Wishing you all a Very Happy Christmas."
