A PRIMARY school in Stanford-le-Hope is appealing to the local community to help it meet the needs of children and families who are having to undertake learning at home.

As a result of the current lockdown, thousands of families across Thurrock are once again plunged into remote home-learning. For many families, this can be a challenging time due to the limited resources available to support the children.

Staff at Arthur Bugler Primary School want to ensure that they provide as much support as possible to their community. Therefore, they have set up an Amazon Wish List full of essential resources children could use to support their learning at home. Items such as writing pencils, exercise books, rubbers and sharpeners are among the equipment on the list.

Arthur Bugler Primary are calling upon the generosity of the community and local businesses to support them purchase all of the vital items on their Amazon Wish List. The school will esnure the items, many of which are not expensive, will be put to best use in the local community.

Headteacher John Bryant, said: 'Education is the greatest gift for all children and we do not want to have a child at our school unable to access Home Education because they do not have the resources available. My thanks to everyone that has supported our school already – it will really help to ensure that no child is left behind.'

"To show your support and purchase any items from their Amazon Wish List, please visit the following link.

"We hope the community in Thurrock will be able to help this appeal and support the children in our care thrive in these difficult circumstances."
