A SOUTH Ockendon man was jailed for 18 months for after being found guilty of carrying out two sexual offences.
Basildon Magistrates' Court heard that Jamie Robert Bowles, 31, of Danbury Crescent had pleaded not guilty to intentionally touching a woman in a sexual way when she did not consent and also to committing an act of outraging public decency when he pulled his trousers down exposing his boxer shorts and saying 'Shake that'.He did admit two charges of breaching bail conditions while awaiting trial.
A MAN from Tilbury used violence to force his way into his home, in front of a child, after being advised not to enter.
Ricky Allen Logan, 30, of Feenan Highway, was jailed for four weeks for the act, which was committed while he was on licence.He also has to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £267.
STANFORD-le-Hope man Thomas Moore, 29, of Bibby Close, found himself subject to a restraining order not to contact Jade Pope in any way other than through a solicitor after admitting three offences.
Originally Moore has indicated he would plead not guilty to damaging her iPhone, of damaging the front door at her home in Grays and of assaulting her but changed his plea to guilty and was ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid community work. In addition he has to pay compensation of £300 and must undertake a rehabilitation programme. Because compensation was prioritised, there was no order for costs. ANOTHER case which was dismissed was that against Tahawnee Adele Coote, 20, described as of no fixed abode but from the Tilbury area.She had been charged with assaulting Pauline Imms but no evidence was offered so she was cleared.
A POLISH man living in East Tilbury who denied two charges of assault was found guilty by magistrates at Basildon.
Wiolett Krol, 39, of Coronation Avenue, will now be sentenced at a hearing on 20 April after the charges that he assaulted Karen George and Terel Nugent were proved. PURFLEET resident Tina Steel, 52, from Comet Close, walked free from Basildon Magistrates' Court after a case against her was dismissed. She had denied the charge of assaulting Sanie Kerrnaja in an attack that was racially motivated and after proving her innocence the court awarded that she be paid her costs from central funds. THOMAS Hassall, 25, of Heathview Road, Grays, will face trial at Basildon Magistrates' Court on 29 May after pleading not guilty to assaulting Steven Gibson and also a police officer, Craig Mount. PAUL Stefan Chester, 25, of Martello Close, Grays, admitted assaulting Jephet Samlero in January this year when he appeared before Basildon magistrates who gave him a 12 month conditional discharge. He also admitted assaulting Matthew Boreham,, who he had also threatened to kill. Chester was ordered to pay a surcharge of £21 but no costs because of his limited financial means and outstanding fines. A NIGERIAN man living in Grays admitted a charge of assaulting a police officer and another of resisting arrest - though a second assault charge, which he denied, was dismissed.George Ideh, 22, of Hathaway Road, was released on unconditional bail pending sentencing and a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
Ideh also admitted damaging an internal wall phone and the frame of the front doors of Grays Police Station.And he pleaded guilty to a further charge of carrying an offensive weapon, a carving knife.
CONNOR James Fayers, 20, of Schoolfield Way, Grays, admitted stealing clothing worth £210 from the House of Fraser at Lakeside and possessing cannabis. He was fined a total of £200 and ordered to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £177.
Jacqueline Didham, 29, of Biggin Lane, Tilbury, admitted a spree of stealing toys from stores at Lakeside over three days.
Her haul included toys from Hamleys and The Entertainer costing £382 in total. She was fined £40 and ordered to pay compensation of £123 and a surcharge and costs totalling £82. The money will be deducted from her benefits.She was accompanied on the spree by Jordan Trevain, 27, also of Biggin Lane, who has to pay compensation totalling £191. He was also fined £40.
EDWARD Olugboyega Amusan, 43, of Edmund Road, Chafford Hundred, admitted failing to give police information about the driver of a car in which an offence was believed to have been committed.
He was fined £120, ordered to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £120 and received six penalty points. KYRAN Christopher Barbour, 20, of Copens Terrace, Grays, admitted drug driving and was fined £250 and ordered to pay a surcharge and costs totalling £137.He was disqualified from holding a licence for 18 months.
ROMANIAN man Cosmin Serbanoiu, 29, living on Civic Square, Tilbury, admitted driving over the permitted alcohol level and was ordered to carry out 50 hours of unpaid community work. He also had to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £235 and was banned from driving for two years.
SAFWANN Ahmed, 30, of North Road, South Ockendon, was found guilty of breaking a 30mph speed limit in Leigh-on-Sea by nine mph and was fined £220 and ordered to pay a surcharge and costs totalling £122. He received three penalty points.
STUART Dixon, 43, of Farnaby Way, Stanford-le-Hope admitted breaking a 30mph speed limit on Southend Road in the town by seven miles an hour. He was fined £102 and ordered to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £122. He also received three penalty points.
DRIVING through red light at Leigh-on-Sea proved costly for Tommy Brian Fox, 37, of Stenning Avenue, Linford. He admitted the offence and Basildon magistrates fined him £120 with costs and a surcharge totalling £122. He also received three penalty points.
DENNIS George Proctor, 56, of Mayflower Close, South Ockendon, committed the same offence in Southend and was fined £76, also picking up three penalty points and a surcharge and costs totalling £122.
ROBERT Anthony Offland, 38, of Chadfields, Tilbury, admitted driving without insurance and was fined £660. He also had to pay a surcharge and costs totalling £156 and was disqualified from driving for 12 months.
REPEAT offender Jay Page-Fuller, 21, of St Margaret's Avenue, Stanford-le-Hope, was found guilty of driving without insurance and banned for six months. He was also fined £660 and ordered to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £156.
CONRAD Alexander Luitsz, 36, of Crofton Road, Grays, admitted drug driving and was fined £440 with costs and a surcharge totalling £149. He was disqualified from holding a licence for three years.
ROMANIAN man Daniel Pascan, 26, who resides at Angle Road, Grays, admitted failing to stop for a policeman and was fined £370. He had to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £142.
REGAN Connor Jake Brooke, 28, of William Street, Grays, admitted drink driving and not having a valid licence or insurance. He was banned for 14 months, fined £140 and had to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £142.
