POLICE and other emergency services have responded to a significant accident on the A13 this afternoon (Monday, 26 June).

It took place between A1012 and A1089 shortly before 2pm and a road closure was put in place in the area while investigations were made.

A police statement says: "We would urge drivers to avoid the area if possible and thank them for their patience and understanding.

"We are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, or for those with relevant dash cam footage, to come forward. 

"Anyone with information or footage which could assist our enquiries is asked to get in touch, quoting incident 0747 of 26 June.
