Van driver died in A13 multiple vehicle collision

POLICE have confirmed the death of a van driver following a crash on the A13 yesterday (Monday, 26 June) and are appealing for witnesses following the fatal collision that involved four vehicles.

Officers were called to the A13, near Grays around 1:40pm following reports of a collision involving three lorries and a van.

The driver of the van died at the scene. His family are aware and receiving support from specialist officers.

The collision occurred on the A13 London-bound between the A126 onslip road from Lakeside and the junction with the M25. Two lanes of the road remained closed today due to Highways England repairs.

A police appeal says: "We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision or have any further information to get in contact.
