ANOTHER Thurrock youngster has shown a heart a gold by wanting to help others.

Phoebe Faulkner from Stifford Clays is just six but she has amazed her family and friends by her awareness of others in need, as mum Emma explains.

She says: "Pheobe is raising money in aid of The Little Princess Trust. She has bravely chosen to cut her hair after watching an advert on TV about children with cancer. "Mummy.... so do they need wigs?"

"I explained a little about the charity and she jumped at the chance to help these poorly princesses who are unwell in hospital.

"The Little Princess Trust relies on donations of hair to provide wigs for children who have lost their hair to strong chemotherapy.

"Thank you in so much advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us! We are so proud!"

If you would like to support Pheobe, then visit her fundraising page via this link.

Earlier in the week Thurrock Nub News featured another brave youngster planning to have her locks cut for the charity. If you know a local child who is proving to be inspirational and you would like to share the story please let us know (please email [email protected]) and we will be delighted to help publicise more great Thurrock good causes.
