SOUTH Essex College's main enrolment for new students starts on Thursday, 12 August when students can sign up for courses at the Grays town centre campus and he High House Production Park at Purfleet or others in Basildon and Southend.

The college will open its doors and welcome further education students fresh from receiving their GCSE results. Students will be able to sign up for their chosen courses due to start in September.

To mark the occasion, the college is running a Countdown to Enrolment competition where five winners will each win a £100 Amazon gift voucher. The competition is open to anyone who has applied for a course at the college starting September 2021. For more information and to enter, visit this link.

The college offers a supportive, inclusive learning environment that adheres to all Covid-19 protocols.

Ruby Chittenden, Head of Marketing and Communications at the college, said: "Starting college is an exciting time but we know it can also be a slightly daunting experience for many.

"At South Essex College, we offer lots of support for new and existing students including our friendly Student Services team on hand to provide advice about finance and funding, careers, safeguarding, enrichment and wellbeing. There's also our Learning Resources team available to the college community with expert tips on studying techniques.

"We know people are anxious about the ongoing COVID-19 situation. Since the beginning of the pandemic we have worked hard to make sure measures have been put in place to keep everyone as safe as possible in line with government guidelines.

"Before the start of term in September, we are asking all students to undertake two at-home Lateral Flow Device (LFD) tests the week before coming in to college. These tests can be collected from the college when you come in to enrol, or from local community testing centres."

Students who have already applied will receive an invitation to enrol. There are still some courses available to start in September, for more information visit www.southessex.ac.uk/enrol.
