Support the Sprint: Arthur Bugler Primary calls on community to back Marathon fundraiser
By Nub News Reporter 12th Mar 2026
A GROUP of 20 inspiring students from Arthur Bugler Primary School have now officially launched a GoFundMe campaign as they prepare to run the TCS Mini London Marathon on Saturday, 25 April.
As reported on Thurrock Nub News last week the young athletes are on a mission to raise £5,000 for the Stanford-le-Hope school's PTA.
The funds raised will be dedicated to improving the quality of provision during lunchtimes and enhancing extracurricular activities throughout the school day. By upgrading these essential parts of the school experience, the "Lucky 20" aim to provide every child at Arthur Bugler Primary with even more memorable moments.
Mrs Lucy Cordell, the teacher spearheading the event at Arthur Bugler Primary, said; "These children are doing an incredible thing for the school. Not only are they representing our school on a massive stage, but they are raising vital funds to support every single child in our school community. We all couldn't be prouder, and we are all with them every step of the way!"
The children are calling on the local community, businesses, and supporters to help them reach their ambitious £5,000 goal. Every donation, no matter the size, goes directly toward creating a more vibrant and engaging environment for the children at Arthur Bugler.
