RE-ENGAGE Thurrock, the charity that helps lonely, vulnerable and elderly people in the borough has formally launched its ninth support group – T9

New group co-ordinator Sarah Barnes said: "Our guests were treated to a lovely afternoon tea hosted by our Maggie with a selection of sandwiches, savoury bites and delicious cakes 

"We were also lucky to have the most beautiful cake donated to us by Michelle from Crumb-didili-yum, it was honestly one of the prettiest cakes I've seen 

"I want to take this time to thank our drivers and group coordinators for getting our guests safely to and from the party and supporting me through this first step, couldn't have done it without you all."

Regional co-ordinator Loraine Coleman added: "Thank you so, so much Sarah for the perfectly lovely launch of our new tea party group — Thurrock 9! 

"After many months of planning and organising by you we are so proud to see Thurrock 9 come to life — bringing local older people together for friendship, laughter, and companionship. 

"Your tea party guests had a fabulous time — so many happy faces and such a beautiful spread of homemade treats. Thank you, Maggie, for your delicious contributions.
