Teenage boy seriously injured after collision with car in Tilbury

POLICE have released details of an incident in Tilbury last evening (Wednesday, 8 November) which resulted in a serious injury to a teenage boy who was in collision with a car.

The incident happened in St Chad's Road, shortly after 9.16pm when a pedestrian, the teenage boy, suffered serious head injuries. He remains in hospital.

The driver of the vehicle is assisting police with enquiries, which are ongoing.

St Chads road was closed for several hours while police carried out a forensice investigation at the scene.

A statement from Essex Police says: "We are appealing for information following a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Tilbury.

"We were called to the scene, in St Chads Road, shortly after 9.16pm on Wednesday, 8 November.
