A POPULAR home delivery service in Thurrock will soon be back in business.

The man behind dairy delivery company EcoFresh says he is about to relaunch his business, which closed in 2022.

Milk enthusiast Paul Luke first launched his venture in 2018 but the cost of living crisis and other financial pressures caused him to close in July 2022.

A self-confessed milk fanatic with a private collection of more than 12,000 milk bottles, Paul began to live a long-held dream in 2018 when he launched EcoFresh – delivering milk and other products on a daily basis.

He combined his business with spreading local cheer and was featured by the BBC for his community work, which included delivering gifts to 3,500 vulnerable people in his first Christmas on his float. Mr Luke, from Corringham, was also nominated for the "Heart of Gold" award for his community efforts.

After EcoFresh closed, he went to work for another company but his passion for working for himself across Thurrock has tempted him to a fresh throw of the business dice.

He told Thurrock Nub News: "Hopefully it's good news for the residents of Thurrock!

"We are back and are aiming to begin our early morning street patrols while out delivering a range of fresh milk, milkshakes, juices, smoothies and much more.

"I'm aiming to get deliveries back up and running for the first week in September.

"We are currently collating new customers to start regular deliveries and our fresh new website where customers can order online is on a countdown to starting up. We can be contacted on Facebook @ecofreshdairy, by email [email protected] and our website is www.ecofreshdairy.co.uk.

Part of the venture will include Paul using his restored vintage milk float, rebranded as an EciFresh vehicle. It was recently featured in a Thurrock Nub News story as Paul appealed to local people to share their milky memories with him.
