Theresa bravely puts on a fantastic Christmas display for all the family

By Neil Speight 1st Dec 2020

THURROCK Nub News paid a visit this evening to another wonderful celebration of Christmas, albeit one tinged with sadness.

Our video shows the garden of Theresa Williams at 277 Southend Road, Stanford-le-Hope, which is the biggest and most spectacular she has put on to date.

In previous years the garden has been the creation of Theresa and husband Peter, who was often seen in the garden on his drums, rocking out a Christmas beat.

Sadly Peter passed way this year, but Theresa was determined to carry on what has become something of a local tradition. "We started this a few years ago and we've just added to it each year and this year, which has been a really tough one, was all the more special so I have added even more," she said.

And Theresa is happy to welcome families to come and have a tour of the garden - and if you would like you can make a donation to charity.

"I haven't decided what it will be for yet, but it will be a deserving local cause," Theresa added.

Watch out for more videos from across the borough in the coming evening.
