Thurrock Council offers apprenticeships

By Neil Speight 19th Oct 2020

THURROCK Council has opened applications for a range of apprenticeships across its services.

Cllr Deborah Huelin, Cabinet Member for Central Services, said: "Through to Sunday, 1 November people will be able to explore the new apprenticeships we have available within the council and submit an online application.

"Whether it's in business administration, project management or a bespoke offer from one of our services, apprenticeships are a great way to 'earn while you learn', providing on-the-job-training whilst studying for a nationally-recognised qualification."

Cllr Andrew Jefferies, Cabinet Member for Education, said: "It's important to remember that apprenticeships aren't just for young people, or those leaving college or sixth form.

"The new skills, knowledge and insight gained through an apprenticeship are a great way to learn something new and expand your horizons. Apprenticeships offer a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds and can lead to a rewarding and fulfilling career."

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a virtual information session on Thursday, 5 November to find out details about the roles available and when interviews will be taking place.

Further details on how to apply can be found here.
