Traffic gridlock in west of borough

TRAFFIC in the west of Thurrock, particularly on the A13, M25 and on surrounding roads, is gridlocked in many places this evening (Monday, 13 July) as a result of an earlier accident on the M25.
Two HGVs and a car were in collision near Dartford on the clockwise carriageway just before 3pm, backing up traffic over the QEII bridge and into Thurrock.
The problems continued into the early evening with the AA traffic map at 6.45pm showing long sections of queueing traffic on many local roads.
