VIDEO has been released of the moment a small truck crashed into the barriers at Stanford rail station.

The incident happened yesterday (Thursday, 9 February) just after 6am.

The road was closed for a couple of hours while engineers repaired the barriers.

In the video, after a train leaves the station, the truck moves forward as soon as the gates start to rise. It has a number of poles on its flatbed which rise above the cab, increasing the height of the vehicle and they catch the barrier which has not been given enough time to rise to the vertical position.
