Wendy and Ian turn back time

By Nub News Reporter 2nd Nov 2024

A GRAYS couple today (Saturday, 2 November) turned back time as they opened their new business venture.

Ian and Wendy Mills were the driving force behind the Propersnax cafe and takaway service on the Broadway in Grays which has featured several times on Nub News (Easter fun).

However, Wendy was driven to do something different and a couple of weeks ago the couple closed down their business, having taken possession of a former office space on nearby William Street.

In the beginning....

It has been transformed into an authentic vintage Tea Room, packed with memorabelia and serving up a menu including classic afternoon teas.

It's been a passion of Wendy to create somewhere special for the older community of Grays to meet up and enjoy familiar surroundingsm and tiday the new business opened.

Check out our video, and follow what's going on at Proper Vintage via their new Facebook page.
