Grays' Thameside Theatre will be reverberating to the sounds of Andrew Lloyd Webber's award-winning smash hit musical, 'School of Rock'!

This musical premiered on Broadway in 2015 and has been seen on stages around the globe ever since.

Based on the hilarious hit movie, it follows Dewey Finn – a failed, wannabe rock star – who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band!

This is an amateur production. There are 4 performances:

  • Thursday 12 September at 7:30pm
  • Friday 13 September at 7:30pm
  • Saturday 14 September at 3:30pm
  • Saturday 14 September at 7:30pm

You can find out details via this link.

If you'e rather perform than just watch, why not try out the Karaoke at Chafford Hundred's Sandmartin pub?

Check out the link.

And to complete a musical trio, take a look at Sunday's event at the Courthouse in Stanford-le-Hope.
