What's On: VE Day celebrations continue but there's plenty more going on, so saddle up and enjoy the weekend

OUR weekly preview of 'What's On in Thurrock' picks out a selection of events hosted on our events guide.
The focal point this coming weekend is on a number of VE events that will be taking place, but there's plenty more going on across the borough.

Aside from VE Day events, sporting venues will play host to events on Friday (9 May).
Thurrock Rugby Club at Long Lane, Grays, will be the venue for a quiz night, starting at 7pm.

In Stanford-le-Hope the 138 year heritage of the town's cricket club will be celebrated at a special event.

The club has records going back to its roots and they will be on display.
