Workers help out at borough foodbank

EMPLOYEES from the Amazon fulfilment centre in Tilbury recently spent an afternoon volunteering at a nearby foodbank that receives weekly donations of food and produce from the centre.
Thurrock Foodbank provides emergency food and support to people in crisis, working to combat poverty and hunger within the Thurrock community.
Amazon in Tilbury has a long-standing relationship with Thurrock Foodbank and provides weekly donations of food and other necessities to the organisation. Most recently, the Amazon team spent an afternoon with the foodbank team, helping to organise the charity's stock for distribution to members of the Thurrock community.
Ruzanna Sargsyan, General Manager at Amazon in Tilbury, said: "It was our pleasure to offer a helping hand to Thurrock Foodbank's staff and volunteers. We are pleased to continue providing support to a charity that meets the needs of vulnerable people in our community."
Hannah Robinson, an operations manager at Amazon in Tilbury who volunteered with the foodbank, added: "As a team, we were delighted to get the opportunity to help out at Thurrock Foodbank and spend time with an excellent charity within our community."
Pete Newall, Operations Manager at Thurrock Foodbank, said: "We want to thank Ruzanna, Hannah and the team at Amazon in Tilbury for their volunteering efforts and continued product donations. Their efforts will help us continue to support those in need across Thurrock."
