AN application to build homes on a green space in a borough residential area has been withdrawn.

There was anger and opposition among local residents last month when Thurrock Nub News reported on the application to build on Delius Way in Stanford-le-Hope.

The area where developers hoped to build is shown in red.

The intention was build a terraced block of six homes on land that is currently a publicly accesses green space.

However, in the wake of local residents' objection (there were 19 comments on the planning portal opposing the build) the applicant, Weybridge-based LY Development, has withdrawn the submission.
