On Saturday, 13 February the Grays-based Thames Delta Radio will be hosting an eleven hour event featuring many top DJs - with listeners invited to show their appreciation by donation to Thurrock & Brentwood Mind online.

FOLLOWING a difficult and at times fractious meeting last night (Thursday, 11 March) when Thurrock council planning councillors slammed the door on new designs for Stanford-le-Hope rail station, a leading councillor and former chair of the authority's transport scrutiny committee has welcomed the latest development.

As reported on Thurrock Nub News last night planning councillors refused to consider giving approval to plans put before then for 'stage one' of the Stanford rail station redevelopment until they were also given full site of the plans for the station car park and transport.

THE Tilbury ferry service was suspended late this afternoon because of a strong easterly wind and a strong ebb tide and in the end the decision was taken to call off all further services for the dat.

A statement from Jetstream, who run the ferry, said: "Sadly we have not seen any improvement in the conditions and so we are making the final decision not to run for the remainder of today's service.

AFTER waiting more than five and half hours to make a presentation, a representative of the applicants of a proposed Thurrock housing development was told the matter would be deferred without any debate.
