A THIRD Covid-19 vaccination centre is about to be opened in the borough, Thurrock Nub News understands.

Sources within the local health service have told Nub News that what is described as a large-scale vaccination centre will be opening in the coming week at the Alastair Farquharson Centre operated by NELFT NHS Foundation Trust at Thurrock Community Hospital.

A MULTI-billion pound theme park scheme that is set to have a massive impact on Thurrock has moved a step nearer becoming reality after the proposal was accepted for examination by the Planning Inspectorate.

That means that in the next 18 months the proposed London Resort to be built on the Swanscombe Peninsula between Gravesend and Dartford will be subject to a detailed examination of the proposal before the government has the final say on the application. The entire process could take up to 18 months to conclude.

POLICE have confirmed they are not investigating anything suspicious following an incident in Chadwell St Mary on Friday, which started at around 3pm,

Though the emergency services attended the incident in numbers, with firefighters and the Essex Air Ambulance helicopter present, it has been confirmed it was a medical emergency that was dealt with by the East of England Ambulance Service.
