Four in search of success!

ALL four of the borough's non-League sides will be in action this afternoon.

East Thurrock United will travel to Merstham, with new managerial duo Marc Harrison and Liam Wallace looking to build on last weekend's 0-0 home draw against Corinthian Casuals and move up the Isthmian Premier table.

Rocks are currently just above the drop zone in 19th, while Merstam are 16th. Harrison and Wallace will be optimistic on their second match in charge against a side who have played seven at home, and lost three of them.

In the Isthmian North there's not a lot of travelling involved for the borough's three teams.

Aveley, who go into this afternoon's matches as the highest placed local team in fourth, will be anticipating a second successive win at the expense of Parkside visitors Witham, who are third from bottom.

Grays Athletic, a place behind Aveley on the same points tally with a marginally lower goal difference, hit the road, but only as far as Bowers and Pitsea's Len Salmon stadium where Hashtag United lie in wait.

And Tilbury will be looking to bounce back from Tuesday's home Velocity Trophy Second Round 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Brentwood with a home win against Heybridge Swifts that would be new manager Keith Rowland's first success. The two sides sit in mid table, both with 16 points.
