AVELEY and Tilbury enjoyed successful afternoons in the Bet Victor Isthmian North on Saturday.

The Millers made the short trip to Burroughs Park and Aveley fans were delighted to come away with a 1-0 win against Great Wakering Rovers thanks to George Sykes' 44th minute goal.

Tilbury were also on the road and the Dockers came back from Dereham with a 3-1 win - set up by a dominating first half display.

Brian Moses gave the visitors a seventh minute lead, which was doubled by Lee Burns on 27 minutes. A 33rd minute David Knight penalty rounded up Dockers' tally and though Adam Hipperson got a goal back 13 minutes from time, the points all came back to Essex.
