AFTER weeks of successive heatwaves, organisers of the Orsett Show have had a real task on their hands getting the sun-backed and parched Orsett Showground ready for the big day on Saturday, 5 September.
However, they are determined that everything will go ahead as planned and all their hard work will result in a show that has something to offer all visitors.

Last month Nub News spoke to Show president Paul Dale, chief operating officer of show sponsor, the Port of Tilbury, who spoke about what the Show means to him.
Recently we called in at the Showground where groundsman Phill Burr and colleague Richard Seggons took time out from their labours to talk about the big day.
Tickets are still available online for the Show, where attractions this year include RentaDinosaur, Lee Valley Dog Training School, Orsett Show's Got Talent, Fairground, Steam Engines, Classic Cars, Bravo Equestrian Display and so much more!
