BOTH borough Isthmian North sides suffered bank holiday disappointment (Monday, 28 August).

East Thurrock were looking to get one over on local rivals Brentwood Town but the match at Rookery Hill ended all square with a 1-1 draw.

Both goals came in the first half, Daniel Ogunleye giving the visitors the lead, Frankie Franz levelling for the Rocks four minutes before the break.

Grays travelled to Maldon and, with just a few minutes remaining, looked set to get a first league win of the season.

Troy Osei-Bobie had opened the scoring for the visitors 11 minutes after half time, but with five minutes to go Andre Hasanally earned the Jammers a point as it ended 1-1.
