AVELEY suffer disappointing result to Weymouth who hadn't won in five matches entering Saturday's (9 March) fixture. Two second half goals at Parkside sealed a disappointing day at the office for Millers in the Vanarama National League South.

Weymouth scored the first goal in the 52nd minute thanks to Malachi Linton's close-range effort. Aveley failed to clear their lines and were punished.

Linton grabbed his brace after 75 minutes giving the away side a comfortable winning margin. Linton latched on the end of a long ball and finished will some style.

A day to forget for the Millers as Weymouth secure the points.

Aveley go again on Monday (11 March) when the face Tonbridge Angles at Parkside in the league. Tonbridge have only won one of their last six matches and sit 13th in the league.
