Tilbury 1, Saffron Walden 0

Tilbury beat Saffron Walden one-nil at the EMR Stadium this Saturday (9 March). The win means Dockers are unbeaten in 23 Essex Senior League games.

Dockers are 14 points clear at the top-of-the-table with only nine games to go!

Chances were few and far between in the first half. Christian North denied Saffron Walden in the 35th minute when a shot flew near his front post.

Tilbury scored the only goal of the game after 61 minutes through Alex Clark. His excellent footwork in the box opened space for a shot which he placed in the bottom corner.

Following the goal, Tilbury took firm control of the game in search for a second goal. Although it didn't come, Dockers didn't look in much danger of conceding.

Dockers secure all three points and a clean sheet in their first league game at the EMR Stadium for a month.

Next, Tilbury play Barking on Tuesday (12 March) at Mayesbrook Park Stadium in the league. Barking are in decent league form having won three of their four last matches. They sit fourth in the Essex Senior League.
