A LATE mistake costs Aveley a place in the BBC Essex Senior Cup semi-final. Hashtag United beat Aveley one-nil at the Len Salmon Stadium after scoring a late winner on Monday (5 February).

The only goal came in the 92nd minute through Luke Parrott. A big mistake from Aveley as Sak Hassan won the ball in midfield and drove goalward before finding Parrot who calmly lobbed Jonathan North.

Millers now prepare for more cup action as they travel to Hayes Lane on Saturday (5 February), home of Bromley, in the FA Trophy fifth round. Bromley are second in the Vanarama National League and will enter the fixture as strong favourites.

The winner of the tie will receive £6,000 in prize money and a spot in the quarter-final.
