AVELEY are back on track after beating Tonbridge Angels in the Vanarama National League.

Monday (11 March) night's game saw Millers record an impressive victory that elevated them into the playoff zone in seventh spot.

Aveley were playing some good football early on and their sustained pressure paid off when Razzaq Coleman De-Graft scored in the 36th minute. De-Graft worked the ball well and found space to fire into the bottom corner.

Millers would have been very pleased at the half as they were playing good football.

However, it was Tonbridge who started the second half positively. They were awarded a penalty and Nathan Odokonyero converted after 47 minutes.

It only took Aveley five minutes to regain the lead as Emmanuel Ogunrinde scored from Tonbridge's poor defensive mistake. Following a cross Tonbridge cleared the ball straight to Ogunrinde who scored from close range.

Aveley held on for their first win in three games and an important three points.

This Saturday (16 March), Aveley travel to Easy As Hgv Stadium to face Farnborough in the league. Farnborough are 12th in the table and are in decent form winning their last two matches.
