Walthamstow 0, Aveley 4
MILLERS introduced new signing Imran Uche at Wadham Lodge and the midfielder, who includes Eastbourne Borough and Billericay Town among his previous clubs, helped the team to an emphatic BBC Essex Senior Cup win.
The visitors made the brighter start but spurned a couple of half chances and were then somewhat lucky to escape unpunished when they left Tayo Oyebola unmarked two yards out, but his shot struck the woodwork.
Uche was engaged in the action from the start, and he did well to set up Kenny Aileru just before the half hour, the striker forcing a good save from the home stopper.
However, the deadlock was broken moments later when Tyrese Owen played in Razzaq Coleman De-Graft who fired the ball into the corner of the net.
That's how it stood at half time but Aveley extended the lead just three minutes after the restart when Coleman De-Graft grabbed his second with a low left foot shot.
And on 64 minutes the match was put beyond the hosts when Ibby Akanbu got Millers' third with a well-struck free kick.
With eight minutes remaining Nathan Carlyle was on hand following a set piece to find the back of the net for his first Millers goal.
Aveley are next in action at home to Weymouth in the Vanarama National League South on Saturday, 2 November.
