Tilbury 3, Halstead Town 1

DOCKERS came from behind at Chadfields on Tuesday (13 October) to win through to the BBC Essex Senior Cup fourth round.

Things didn't start well for Tilbury when their visitors from the Essex Senior League took a first-minute lead through George Smith, an advantage they held going into the break.

And Town very nearly made a similar start to the second half, only being denied a second goal by a brilliant save from Billy Lawler.

Tilbury had a good chance to go on level terms when Soumen Nandi was brought down in the box but Town keeper Jack Cherry saved the spot-kick.

Cherry made another fine save just after the hour and with five minutes to go it looked like Dockers might be heading for a cup exit.

But the match turned dramatically in the final five minutes.

Tilbury got a second penalty when Rasheed Salau raced through and was brought down. This time Issa Sidibe made no mistake and Rocks found themselves level.

And just two minutes later they were ahead when Salau scored.

There was time in added time for Dockers to put the icing on the cup cake when Sidibe fired home his second of the night.
