A LATE switch of venue saw today's (Saturday, 19 July) Grays Athletic friendly against Isthmian Premier Brentwood take place away and the journey proved to be a disappointing one for the Blues.

Kymani Thomas gave Brentwood, last season's Isthmian North champions, the lead after ten minutes and it was doubled by a Town trialist 11 minutes later.

Sam Park added to Blues' woes with a third on 26 minutes and by half time Grays were five down thanks to another goal from Thomas and one from Charlee Hughes.

The second half, which featured a number of player changes, was a much quieter affair, with no more goals.

Grays are next in pre-season action on Tuesday (22 July) with a trip to VCD Athletic, ahead of next weekend's friendly at Chadfields against Tilbury.
