Grays Athletic 3, Stowmarket Town 1
GRAYS ATHLETIC secured their first win in three Isthmian North Division games against Stowmarket Town at the EMR Stadium.
Prior to kick-off, Saturday's (13 April) match had a two-minute applause remembering James Chiswell, a lifelong Grays fan who passed away, and Lord Richard Rosser of the Isthmian League.
Blues had an awful start to the game as Ewan Gordon-Clement put Stowmarket one goal up inside the first two minutes. However, 10 minutes later striker Charlie Stimson put the sides level.
Aron Gordon gave Grays the lead after 27 minutes and Charlie Stimson got his brace just before half time in the 45th minute.
After the game @GraysAthleticFC said on X, "A fitting result to remember one of our own, James Chisnell."
Blues have two games remaining this season. Next Saturday (20 April), they travel to Spa Road to face Witham Town. Witham have only won one of their last three games and sit 14th in the league, two places above Grays.
