Late drama as Dockers salvage a draw

Brantham Athletic 2, Tilbury 2
WHEN these sides met in the initial scheduled Isthmian North match in September the game didn't go the distance because of a floodlight failure.
The restaged match on Tuesday (7 October) certainly went all the way, with huge drama in the closing minutes.
After a goalless first half which Dockers largely dominated and were only thwarted by several saves from home captain and keeper Dion Henry, Tilbury seized the initiative eight minutes into the second half when Sam Carter picked up the ball on the edge of the box and struck a first time into the bottom corner.
But the match then looked to have been snatched from their grasp close to the end when Nidal Berri grabbed two goals in the 88th and 89 minutes, the second from a defensive error.
However, Tilbury showed real resilience and a headed goal from Luke Reeve three minutes into added time earned Dockers a draw.

Tilbury, who earlier in the week were paired with Hadley in the Isuzu FA Trophy first round in a match scheduled for Saturday, 25 October, are next in action on Saturday, 11 October, when high-flying Redbridge visit Chadfields.
