THINGS turned out very much as expected at the Taydal Stadium where Aveley crushed the home side who are struggling just a place off the bottom of the table.

Millers got off to a great start and completely dominated the opening exchanges and they were rewarded when Blaise Riley-Snow fired home on 11 minutes.

Regent did manage the odd chance and might have equalised from a couple of chances midway through the half but they spurned both opportunities.

Still, it looked as if they would get to the break just a goal behind but the Millers' pressure told as they cracked twice just before half time.

The first goal came on 45 minutes when a corner was powerfully headed home by Harry Gibbs and then George Sykes laid a great backheel to Kayne Diedrick-Roberts who in turn set up Kenny Aileru to score.

The second half was 11 minutes old when Ryan Scott got the first of a brace with a header into the corner of the net and he followed up with his second on 89 minutes, this time a shot that rippled the net.

And there was still time for a sixth as Roberts got his fourth assist, setting up Aileru who went round the keeper and tapped in.

Millers are back in action on Tuesday with a league trip to Lewes.
