Enfield Town 2, Aveley 4

AVELEY got the change in fortune manager Danny Scopes was looking for and picked up their second Vanarama National League South win of the season at north London rivals Enfield Town.

It was nip and tuck for much of the first half with chances at either end before Enfield broke the deadlock on 42 minutes when Harry Ottaway put the ball into the mixer and Jack Smith was in the right place to force the ball past Millers' keeper Carey Bloedorn.

But the response from Aveley was almost instantaneous and they went in level at the break, albeit after seven added minutes, after Manny Ogunrinde sliced the ball home from six yards out three minutes after Town netted.

Enfield came out strongest in the opening stages of the second half and had chances, but it was the Millers who were to score next, just after the hour when Joshua Anifowose beat keeper  Rhys Forster with a shot from the edge of the box through a mass of players that left the keeper unsighted

Like the first half, an equaliser was not long in coming. Just four minutes passed before Ottaway controlled a loose ball and drilled it into the corner from a tight angle.

Parity lasted another seven minutes!

Slack Enfield defending allowed Ogunrinde to cut the ball back across the face of goal and Razzaq Coleman De-Graft was on hand to drill it home from close range.

And the match was made secure for Aveley a minute from time when Charlee Hughes crashed the ball home.
