TILBURY continued their impressive run of form with a convincing BBC Essex Senior Cup win at Ilford on Wednesday (6 November) evening.

The Dockers reached the fourth round thanks to two goals from Stewart Lindell, making it five goals in four appearances since signing.

The decisive action took place in the first half, with Stewart opening his account after just seven minutes after getting on the end of Sam Bantick's free kick delivery.

On 24 minutes Dan Trendall doubled the lead and just seven minutes later Stewart's second effectively wrapped things up when he beat the offside trap, rounding the keeper and scoring.

There was still time for Dockers keeper Christian North, making his first start for some time, to make a decent save to deny the hosts before half time and the second half was played out without significant incident.

Tilbury, second in the Isthmian North, will be in action again on Saturday when they travel to third-placed Witham for what promises to be a competitive clash.
