TILBURY travel across Essex today (Saturday, 9 November), making the relatively short trip to the Simarco Stadium to face Witham Town in the Isthmian North.

It's second (Tilbury) v third and either side could end the day on top of the table depending on the outcome of their clash and leaders Bury Town's home meeting with fifth-placed Basildon United.

The Isthmian North table going into today's matches.

Dockers played host to Witham less than a month ago, winning 2-1 at the EMR Stadium with goals from Alex Hernandez and Sam Bantick and it's likely today's clash will also be close.

Grays Athletic, whose recent results have lifted them to eighth, will be hoping for a home win against Newmarket. The Jockeys have been inconsistent this season with just a couple of wins to their name and they sit fourth from bottom so Blues fans will be in optimistic mode that their side will bounce back from the midweek Essex Senior Cup defeat at Waltham Abbey.

Aveley will also be looking to bounce back from the heartache of conceding an added time goal that cost them a point in the midweek clash at Worthing.

Aveley drew plenty of positives from their performance and will hope that today's visitors in the Vanarama National league South, Borham Wood, will present an opportunity to get off the foot of the table.

The visitors are tenth and have done well on the road, winning two and drawing three of seven matches.

Essex and Suffolk Border League East Thurrock Community FC put their league campaign aside and travel to Harold Hill in the BBC Essex Saturday Premier Cup. The hosts play in Division One of the Essex Olympian League where they are second with seven wins from nine outings.
