SATURDAY's Essex and Suffolk Border League draw extended the Rocks' unbeaten run away from home to seven going back to last November.

However, it was a nightmare start, as Harry Salter was sent off after 90 seconds for pulling down a Sudbury forward who had burst through.

This didn't deny the Rocks scoring first within 10 minutes as Harry Prince won the ball deep in Sudbury territory, worked the ball onto his right foot, and curled a shot into the corner. East Thurrock's top scorer now has 14 goals to his name now this term.

Prince was heavily involved again as the visitors doubled their lead. He and Ross Barnes combined as Barnes powered his effort past the keeper from 18 yards, 2-0. It is now 3 in 4 for the man up front, as the Rocks carried this lead into half time.

Once more it was a nightmare start as the lead was halved as Subury scored a screamer from a short corner routine within 70 seconds of the restart.

The momentum had completely shifted, but the 10 men were battling hard to retain the lead.

20 minutes into the half, the lead was gone, as another corner was the undoing of the visitors.

Rocks fought back and created some chances of their own, with Zizi who come of the bench causing trouble for the hosts. There was not to be any more goals, as the Rocks, who played with 10 for nearly the entire game, won a deserved point on the road.

East Thurrock will travel to Barnston next Saturday, to try and continue their six game unbeaten run and conclude their debut campaign on a high.

Rocks Lineup: 1 Tommy Bruley, 2 Lewis Gardener, 4 Ray Snares, 5 Faith Segemani, 7 Bobby Reeman, 10 Kieron Miles, 11 Bailey Morris, 16 Ross Barnes (26'), 19 Owen Dixie, 20 Harry Prince (8'), 21 Harry Salter.

Subs: 5 Louis Sharkey, 8 Joey Purdy, 9 Iziengbe Ikponmwosa-Ikuero, 13 John Coventry, 15 Harry Cowlbeck.
