After a great away win last Sunday against old rivals and current title holders Bath (36-26), the Thurrock T-Birds play Richmond at home on Sunday, 15 October.

Richmond sit just above the Ts in the league after three games by a point and are currently unbeaten.

After last week's performance captain Sam Willmott said: "Amazing! What an excellent performance from the T-Birds once again. When we play Bath we always know it is going to be a battle and a very tiring, hard game.

"I am so proud of how hard the T-Birds played throughout the whole 80 minutes. As a team we had to find that passion and will to win the game and we all found it and powered through to score the tries we needed to win.

"We haven't won against Bath in a while but Sunday we changed that. The relief after we won was amazing, we all couldn't stop smiling and cheering as it's such a huge achievement to be able to win against a great team."

Director of Rugby, Dean White comments on this Sunday's big match: "We welcome our friends and old foes Richmond to Oakfield today, who had a good season last year and are currently undefeated this season.

"This fixture has always been a challenge and should be a great example of women's rugby today.

"In the past, this fixture has produced fantastic games and we are expecting the same. This will be another channelling game that we are relishing."

Kick of is at 2:30pm on Sunday at Oakfield, Long Lane.
