Thurrock Museum Presents: On the Allotment. An Exhibition and Event

Tuesday 27 August to Thursday 12 September (weekdays 9-5)

This exhibition is a chance to see our recently restored historic allotment paintings, explore the heritage of allotments and find out why allotments and green spaces are important. You can also try our interactive 'On the Allotment' display.

'On the Allotment' Event.

11am to 3:30pm, Saturday 31 August

As well as enjoying the exhibition, you can paint a pot, make seed bombs and sample allotment delights in the Town Hall café.

From 2pm to 3pm, there will be free talk by garden historian and researcher, Twigs Way on the subject of 'Plots and Politics, A History of the Allotment. Twigs will explore the story of the allotment and its importance throughout history. The talk is entertaining and is illustrated using modern materials. Book through Thameside Theatre to avoid disappointment.
