FREE Art for Wellbeing Course Launches in Tilbury

Residents looking for a creative way to support their wellbeing are invited to join a new FREE Art for Wellbeing course from Thurrock Adult Community College, starting this November at the Tilbury Employability and Skills Hub.

Led by exhibiting artist John Gathercole, the four-week course offers a relaxed and welcoming introduction to drawing, collage and colour. Designed for adults aged 19 and over, the sessions will help learners explore their creativity, build confidence and enjoy the wellbeing benefits that creative activities can bring.

No previous art experience is required, making the course ideal for anyone looking to try something new, meet new people or take some time out to focus on their wellbeing.

The course runs every Tuesday from 3 November to 24 November 2026, from 10am to 12pm, at the Tilbury Employability and Skills Hub on Brennan Road.

The course is free for adults aged 19 and over, with a £5 resource fee to cover materials.
