AN application for five detached homes for people over the age of 55 has been completely resubmitted to Thurrock Council's planning committee because of a technicality.
There have been previous bids to build new homes on the site called Greenacre off the village High Road in Fobbing, the latest in June which was reported on by Thurrock Nub News.
However that application has been withdrawn, but replaced by an almost identical one.
The site agent, Chris Nixon of Your Vision Project Management, says: "There have been several applications at the host site in the past 12 months. "The most recent was regrettably withdrawn on a technicality. "Several members of the planning committee expressed a desire for the application to be heard at the planning committee but these requests from committee members arrived at a time too late in the consultation process. Therefore the application could not be discussed at the planning committee. "The only option available for the applicant was to withdraw the application and resubmit, thus allowing the planning committee members the chance to call the application to the next planning committee. "The previous application had five letters of support, including the immediate next door neighbour and only a single objection. The applicant would like to thank the members of the public for their support and we apologise for the delay in this matter." The full application can be viewed via this link.
