It has been some time since my last show but this one is one I have been looking forward to for a long time and was well worth the wait.

Priscilla Queen of the Desert, an adaption of the 1994 Oscar winning film, is on at the Cliffs Pavilion until Saturday, 29 February. More details and booking via the red button below.

This is the story of two drag queens and a transgender woman who travel together in a pink bus across Australia to put on a show of a lifetime and tells of what they encounter during their journey through the outback.

Strictly winner Joe McFadden who has Heartbeat and Casualty among his other credits, stars as Mitzi and together the three divas really put on a show.

Their hilarious story tells of their courage to overcome prejudice and diversity, packed full of puns and quips, at times tugging at your heart strings but along with great songs from various decades, fabulous costumes and an incredible ensemble of dancers they sashay around the stage in heels and you are soon cheering them on.

It's a glitzy, memorable night out.

The day of reckoning. If councillors can't show the courage to fall on their swords in shame - can they not at least give borough its flagship theatre and some hope for the future?
