14-year-old had firearm! Four teens arrested after South Ockendon disturbance

FOUR teenagers have been arrested following a disturbance in South Ockendon yesterday (Friday, 26 March).

It was reported around 4.30pm that a large group of teenagers had gathered in Falcon Way and might be in possession of a firearm.

Although the group dispersed when officers arrived, several members of the group were quickly detained.

A 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm.

A second 14-year-old boy has also been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

A 15-year-old boy has also been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

They remain in custody.

A 16-year-old girl was also arrested and has now been charged with obstructing a police officer. She is due to appear at Southend Magistrates' Court on 18 May.
